QuillKey turns your speech into text on your Mac. Audio is captured while you dictate, transcribed on the device, and never sent anywhere. There is no account, no sign in, and no telemetry: the app does not phone home.
Your dictation history, dictionary, snippets, and scratchpad notes are stored locally on your Mac and stay there.
The optional cloud cleanup modes are the one exception, and they are off by default. If you enable one and supply your own API key, the transcribed text (never the audio) is sent to the provider you chose, under that provider's terms.
quillkey.app is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects nothing. If you pick an accent colour on the page, that choice is stored in your own browser and goes nowhere. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which sees the request for the font files.
